How Western Medicine Works

Marybeth Feather Talon has been a pharmacist for her adult lifetime. She began to question the philosophy of Western Medicine culture. Some of the remedies she prepares are refilled month after month, then year after year and she wondered if that ritual really qualifies as healing. Did the body move past the illness and become healthy?

After all, those patients – MOST patients, need the chemical substance constantly to change the lab measure the doctors said was normal. But, if their bodies are healthy, would they need continued treatment?

True, some treatments are a success toward health.

Many of them, such as antibiotics, give an advantage to the body to overcome the invader.

Antibiotics reduce the load of bacteria and the immune system has less work to do in clearing out and mounting a defense against the infection. The body actually does the healing! The drug helps.

In another example, we give chemicals to people who have difficulty managing their mood, or happiness balance. Under the influence of the drug the system is tricked into producing or limiting levels of substance that alter the mood.

This is undoubtedly very useful and desirable to a great many people!

Suddenly they can function in the world again.

But does this count as healing? Is the body healed? Has there been a correction that does not require further treatment?

These are the questions that led Feather Talon the Medicine Woman to discover a different way of healing and that required a different way of thinking.

She understands how awkward it can be to accept the Spiritual or the Energetic way of healing the physical body, but she has the healing of her clients to prove useless any doubt.

How Energy Healing Works

In the Modern Western Culture we think of illness as something that has invaded us physically, such as a bacteria, virus, or poison, in the ancient ways of the Shamanic world, it was not really very different.

Shamans work within realms of the natural world. They think of illness as an infection or infiltration of an energy that can cause havoc with the invisible system around our bodies.

They work in the invisible realm which is, nonetheless, very real.

To them, Illness is imbalance and adjustments to this field can be made by moving energy around and away, safely removing the “invader”, and creating conditions for the body to resume good health.

In our Western thinking it seems deceptively simple, improbable – impossible, even!

Regardless of whether it makes sense to logic or science, nature still holds healing for us.

Feather Talon the Medicine Woman has learned from practicing shamans their ancient ways and has integrated her personal teachings direct from her natural world in the high Rocky Mountains to offer a special kind of healing to you.

True healing comes from within, and Feather can help clear the way for you to begin your personal healing process.
